for Maya Research. The Center for Maya Research (CMR) is a not-for-profit
educational organization founded by George Stuart in 1984. Its purposes
are to promote research in the Maya area in the fields of anthropology
art history, including archaeology, epigraphy, ethnohistory, ethnology,
and linguistics.

Dumbarton
Oaks. The Dumbarton Oaks Research
Library and Collection is an international center for scholarship, providing
resources for study and publishing scholarly works in Byzantine, Pre-Columbian,
and Garden and Landscape Studies.

Kaxil
Kiuic Bio-Cultural Reserve, Yucatan, Mexico. Activities
at the Helen Moyers Biocultural Reserve (a Mexican non-Profit) revolve
around education, outreach to the local community, and coordination of
biological and cultural/archaeological onsite research. The reserve was
developed, and is supported in part by Millsaps College. Kaxil Kiuic,
A.C. is the first private entity of its kind in the state of Yucatan.
