Structure
X at Becán is one
of the principal pyramids in the city. Here we
view the decorated portal facings at the summit. Passing through this opening
to
the other side we discover secret passages that descend to the ballcourt
area below.
Becán's temples held many secret stairsways, designed for the magical
appearance
and disappearance of shamans, dancers, and the ritual performance of royal
actors.
