On the eastern side of the main plaza of Chicanná stands the Earth Monster
House. The main doorway depicts the open, tooth- and fang-encrusted mouth
of the Earth Monster. In this view, as visitors cross the portico before the door,
they walk between the fangs of the deity's lower jaw. Opposite this building on
the main plaza square stands the Twin Pyramid complex.
