The Temple of the Seven Dolls, named after the seven small ceramic dolls
found in a reverential cache in the floor, is the principal temple of Dzibilchaltún
In the Fourth Century the city was conquered and destroyed by unknown forces,
although Oxkintoch is implicated. The city was unoccupied for two hundred years
then repopulated and was occupied at the time of theConquest.
