This beautiful palace in the Puuc Hills is
the signature building at Sayil.
It rises in three platform stories that contain multi-room structures on both sides of a wide central staircase. Here you may see in the middle of the upper molding panel (zoom-in) a bas-relief sculpture of the Diving God which is also seen more famously on the main temple building at Tulum on the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.
