Toniná—from atop the highest sunmmit of the pyramid complex this vista opens
out to the upland vallies of Ocosingo. On this beautiful afternoon, with thunderheads
across the valley and upon the mountains, we met and had a nice chat with Alfonso
Morales and David Stuart, archaeologist and epigrapher respectively at the Palenque
Project. They were the only two others we saw in the ruins that day.
