The courtyard of El Mesón de Marquis Hotel in Valladolid is a favorite
hangout for Yucatan archaeologists. Located on the zócalo, the central plaza of the city,
the hotel serves up authentic Yucatecan cuisine. We recommend the Caldo Tlalpeño and
the Relleno Negro, an ancient Mesoamerican turkey and burned chiles dish.
